This Twin XL Storage Bed is 5 inches longer than a standard twin making it ideal for teenagers and College students. Underneath are 3 large storage drawers (20” depth) that run on smooth running metal drawer glides. Every room needs more storage and this is a great place to add it! Wood slats positioned lengthwise distribute body weight evenly and take the place of a box-spring, so the bed needs only a mattress. Three Drawers are located on one side so that the bed can be positioned left or right to suit any bedroom layout. Coordinate with Prepac Headboards and bedroom furniture. Available in two colors: Espresso finish, an attractive laminate that simulates a rich, dark wood finish or Midnight Black laminate. Please specify when ordering. This product is made from composite woods with overlay laminate and plywood slats. It ships flat-packed (in two cartons) and assembly is required. Detailed and easy-to-follow instructions are included.

One part was terrible because you had to match up screws and other hardware (forget what they're called) and it was nearly impossible to match up. Ended up cracking a piece off one of the boards. Had to gorilla glue it. I was very pleased with what I actually received. The bed is VERY heavy, and solid once assembled. The instructions were very clear, the pre-drilled holes were lined up and all the hardware was included. I actually allowed my 16 year old son to assemble the bed. He only needed minimal help holding pieces still but otherwise, there were no issues.Pros: The bed is a great height, it was easy to assemble, it is sturdy, the drawers run very smoothly. Cons: The slats that the bed rests on are exceptionally cheap quality, and bowed (it does not seem to affect the mattress though). The boxes were very heavy and you need a large area to assemble the bed because the pieces are so long. The bottoms of the drawers will not support very much weight. I wish I could give the bed 4.5 stars instead of only 4. I would take half a star for the...
