So all worked out fine for this product. Pros - Average-to-good quality wood (probably a B class) - Easy, in-line/straight set up (the screws went through the holes cleanly) - Portability (would be easy to disassemble and move) - Good quality cover (I was actually very pleasantly surprise by this) - Time... time... time... (as shipped, sets up in 30 minutes or less) - Price (very good value for cost of materials and setup time) Cons - All joints/connections double stapled rather than nailed - No glue on joists - 3 or 4 of the slats were pretty warped and/or bowed - Not enough slats in my opinion for a latex mattress (I've read the gap should be about 2 inches; these would be 3 to 3 1/2) Specifics... Shipping was quick - I received the product within 5 days. The product is easy to carry to your room of choice as it is modular. Assembly was a breeze. There is also a good quality wrench provided with the tools. The foundation is made of pine, you need to be careful of the splinters while assembly - this might be a negative for some, but that is now most non metal slatted foundations look if you peeked under the cover. The cover fits well post assembly and gives the setup a respectable look. The only complaint i could have if I have to picky is there are not enough "wood screws" included to nail down the slatted top. The manufacturer includes 6.
