Finished assembling this bed yesterday- took me good 4-5 hrs,
the only good part seems to be the cost.... the planks were of different sizes, and the holes for the screws on the platform would not match the frame under it, so landed up drilling new holes, and if the holes are not exactly on the center- the board frame under it will just rip apart, the platform is made of four planks- 2 large ones for the sides and 2 small ones for the center, as i said the holes on these did not match the frame, so if you screw it just like that- the side would all be malaligned and the moulding would not fit...... i drilled new holes, finally giving up on the central planks- that are now held only by one screw each.
to fit the moulding you are supposed to screw upside down, lying down ....very very painful, and the review saying that your hands will pain the next day is very very true.
i have hidden the ragged unequal end of the platform towards the wall .....the only reason i have... Read more

Great product,I love it
I was looking at first at IKEA bed frames, but were out of my budget so I look this frame at Walmart.com and purchase it there after 1 week the item was damage and never deliver to me they returned to the store in NY so I was desapointed I never got my bed and they returned my money, so I look it up here in Amazon and to my surprise it was cheaper than Walmart and the shipping was free!! SO I got my bed in the time the time frame they gave me (I believed it was less than a week) We put it together me (female) and another female friend in 30 min. but is better if you use a drill or power screwdriver because it's hard to push those screws in and our drill run out of battery so we had to finish it by hand.
I was not sure if this bed was going to support me; I weight 160lb and I slept with my parter too (another 160lb) but it was excelent very firm bed I just love it!!!

So after reading reviews, I decided to give it a shot. My conclusion is as long as you put it together correctly, works flawlessly with 12 legs and very strong. So this is what you need to know. After pulling it out of box and unfolding them and putting them side by side and putting 2 very easy bolts through it to secure them together, I noticed the legs on the head and feet of the frame are collapsible so if you were obviously trying to move it or sit on it, the legs may fold in. So im like ok now I know why some of these reviews are like this. So im looking at the one BUT!! if you look closely at the head and feet of frames there are 2 wing nuts on each side screwed on the frame just chillin there. Then across from those nuts are two free standing bars tucked underneath. So i was like ahhhh thats what you do. Very surprised not in instructions. You twist the bar around to the screw,which had the wing nut on it that you removed and you secure it with that nut. And you do that to all... Read more

We bought this bed 6 months ago, at first we thought it was wonderful. We purchased it because we couldn't get the box spring up the stairs, and we needed a quick solution. The frame squeaks every time you roll over right from the start, at about month 3 we noticed that the bottom portion of the frame was starting to bend on both sides, and the legs to the frame are not very sturdy at all! Last night when our dog was laying on the bed alone (she is 85 lbs) the middle of the frame broke in half and the entire mattress caved in! Please note, we aren't skinny tiny people, but we certainly do not exceed, or come close to meeting the weight limit that this bed is supposed to support. So, now only after 5 months of use, we are forced to get another frame. Once the frame started to bend, it did nothing but give us back problems anyway, because the bed was at a constant slant. Bought this bed frame to replace my sagging queen box springs, and glad I did. I set my mattress directly on top and use a 3" memory foam topper to smooth it out. It's firm, but you can't feel the bars through through the mattress and topper. This frame is very supportive, and very sturdy. The bed has screw hole on all sides so it's great for attachment points if you're into the kinky stuff, or if you want to attach a headboard or other decorations. The bed frame squeaks a tiny bit if you move on it just right, but overall is quieter than the box frame I had. Folds up very compact, and will be extremely convenient when I move. It seemed pricey when I bought it, but you can feel the quality in the build. This thing was designed for prison and military beds, so I don't doubt I can take abuse. Did you read the title of my review? If so good, because seriously, a hammer will not do. You'll NEED a mallet. That said,...assembly time (1 person) is about 90 mins. Less than 60 mins if you have an electric screwdriver with hex bit attachments. There are not a lot of different pieces used to put this together, so it's pretty straight-forward.

As far as the design goes - pretty solid. This an Ikea'ish design and I like it. It's very sturdy and simple to put together. Once you DO put it together, I doubt you can take it apart - the plastic holders for the slats look like they're meant to stay in,...forever. You can easily get to the legs and remove those if your moving, but just so you know, okay? Are we cool? Yes? No? Anywayz, I'd say for the money it's a good buy. No box springs necessary since the wood slats bow upward providing that needed "cush".

I bought this frame about a month ago and assembled it myself. I spent about an hour to put it together and once I set my mattress on it, I just loved it. It is so stable and sturdy and doesn't make any noise. It seems to very strong as main frame is very solid metal. Even wood slates are strong and fits very tightly on bed frame, unlike IKEA's bed slates which keep rambling all time..
I am very happy with this purchase and packing and delivery was also up to my satisfaction.

Very happy with the bed frame. Everything was exactly as expected. The frame is of steel and went together easily. There were plenty of slats for support of the memory foam mattress we purchased from COSTCO. I was able to press the slat clips on without a mallet as instructed. A socket wrench set and power screw driver will speed up the assembly. Looks like and goes together like an IKEA product. I have already recommended this to friends.
